The eight user groups of the Northeast, from the states of CT, ME, MA, NH, NY, RI, and VT have joined together to host a yearly IBM Power Systems technical conference in Framingham, MA.
These eight user groups devote many volunteer hours to put together all of the different facets of this event in order to present a conference that provides a wide array of speakers and subject matter for the Power systems community. In addition, we pride ourselves on providing a conference that is a reasonable value for its attendees.
Each conference is held yearly, in early spring, and consists of approximately 100 sessions, 20 speakers (from both IBM and the i community), hundreds of attendees, and over 20 vendor sponsors. The conference covers a variety of technical subjects and may include seminars, workshops, and hands on labs.
The 20th annual Northeast User Groups conference will be held on April 12th, 13th and 14th, 2010 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, MA. Please refer to the Hotel Information link for additional information about the Sheraton Hotel.
The format of the conference is a three day event. The first conference day is generally a partial day where various seminars, workshops and hands on labs may be available. The second and third day of the conference are dedicated to a day long series of breakout sessions and hands on labs, with a vendor Expo featuring some of the premier IBM business partners from around the world. The evening of the first full day(Tuesday) will feature either a keynote address from a prominent industry person or a fun evening spent networking with your peers(activities vary per year). For planning purposes the cost of the conference is approximately $500.00 to $775.00 per attendee, depending on options selected for additional seminars, workshops and hands on labs and the time at which you register. Rooms at the Sheraton are approximately $150/$160 per night for single or double occupancy. Please call the hotel for current pricing and be sure to mention that you'll be attending the conference.
